How It All Started
Our Journey Began in 2011
Tulcan Energy Resources Limited was founded on June 3, 2011. Two industry pioneers - Dr. Tayo Adiatu and Dr. Yinka Olasoko, came together with a shared vision: to build a company that places people at its heart. The name Tulcan was coined after being inspired by the social and intelligent South American bird called Toucan, which is known for feeding and travelling in flocks. The founders chose the name Tulcan to symbolise their commitment to collective welfare, collaboration, and shared success.
From day one, Tulcan Energy has been intentional about building a people-centric company. As a team, we grow together, learn together, and we celebrate each milestone together.
